Lutfisk Sauce

Use with Ovenbaked Lutfisk

  • 2 oz. Butter
  • 3 tbsp. Flour
  • 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 C. Milk
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • White Pepper

In a saucepan melt the butter. Stir in flour and gradually add milk. Beat the sauce until smooth and cook a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper and any of the following spices: coarsely crushed allspice, coarsely crushed black pepper, or 1 to 2 tbsp. prepared Skane mustard.
