Wild Rice

  • 1 C. Wild Rice

To prepare wild rice, rinse well and bring to a boil. Drain and rinse again. Bring to a boil a second time and rinse again. Add new water, salted, and boil 20 minutes. Rinse again. This may not be prepared ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator.

  • 1 C. Celery, chopped
  • 1 C. Onion, chopped
  • 1 C. Mushroom
  • 1 lb. Ground Meat
  • 3 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Onion Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper
  • 2 tsp. Garlic Salt

Sauté celery, onion, and mushrooms in butter. Brown and season meat separately. Mix together. Add 2 cups prepared rice. May add pimento for color. Bake at 325 degrees, covered, for 40 minutes and uncovered for 15 minutes. Add small amounts of water if it becomes too dry.
