- 1/2 recipe Sweet Yeast Bread
Filling
- 1 C. Whipping Cream
- 1 C. Almond Paste or 1 1/2 C. Whipping Cream
- 3/4 C. Hazelnuts, chopped
- 3 tbsp. Sugar
Prepare the dough and shape into 15 to 20 round balls, then place the balls on a baking sheet. Let rise. Brush with a beaten egg, then bake in a 425 degree oven for 5 to 10 minutes. Let cool, covered with a cloth.
Cut a lid off of each bun. Fill with a piece of almond paste and cover with whipped cream. Put the lid back on and dust with icing sugar.
Or cut lid and scoop out the inside of each bun. Mix the breadcrumbs with the whipped cream, chopped nuts, and sugar. Return to the bun and replace lid. Dust with icing sugar.
