Cinnamon Coffee Cake

  • 1/2 C. Shortening (part Butter)
  • 1 C. Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 C. Flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda in 1 C. Sour Cream (or Buttermilk)

Cream shortening and sugar. Add well beaten eggs. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Filling

  • 1/4 C. Nuts, chopped
  • 1/2 C. Sugar
  • 3 tsp. Cinnamon

Mix and sprinkle on top and between layers of dough (put half of the dough into a pan, sprinkle, then add the rest of the dough). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
