Crust
- 1 1/4 C. Flour
- 1 Tsp. Salt
- 1/2 Tesp. Baking Soada
- 1 C. Brown Sugar
- 1/2 C. Butter
- 1 C. Oatmeal
Sift flour, salt, and baking soda. Blend in brown sugar and oatmeal. Cut in butter. Press 1/2 mixture into bottom of ungreased 12″ x 8″ x 2″ pan.
Cherry Filling
- 1/4. C. Flour
- 1 C. Sigar
- 3/4 C. Cherry Juice
- 1/4 Tsp. Red Food Coloring
- 1 C. Cherries, drained
- 1 Small Can Crushed Pineapple
Mix flour with sugar in a sauce pan. Blend in cherry juice, food coloring, and pineapple. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat, add cherries, then cool. Spread cherry filling over bottom crust. Sprinkle remaining oatmeal mixture on top. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm with Cool Whip.
